Cutting-edge application
For the project HEyeWall,
the Institut für Graphische Datenverarbeitung (IGD) of the
Fraunhofergesellschaft in Darmstadt, developed a stereo display
working with INFITEC.This development was in cooperation with
I.S.I., a supplier of professional studio installations. The display
is impressive because of an ultrahigh dissolving of 6144 x 3072
picture elements. The definition of the display reaches ultmative
values, as in a distance of more than three meters to the display,
the pixel density on the retina of an observer exceeds the retina
dissolving. As the Heyewall is a tiled display, INFITEC technology
is used there, as it meets the demand of homogeneity in the individual
moduls required in this application.
INFITEC goes digital
Our development efforts in digital image processing in real time
are aimed at a combination of the new possibilities of INFITEC
stereo display technique with the various possibilities of digital
data processing to make new fields of applications accessible
for stereo display technology.
